Review of Other Edmonton Cleaning Companies

My Neat Freaks - December 22, 2011

My Neat Freaks Edmonton
My floors were definitely not washed - yuck!
As the owner of a very busy cleaning company, I rarely ever get to enjoy my own cleaning services. I booked an appointment with My Neat Freaks over a month in advance, and was really excited to have a professionally cleaned house right before Christmas. Yes, I can clean my own house but sometimes I want to be like everyone else and have my home cleaned by someone else who has fresh eyes and a different technique! Sometimes I need to relax too! :)

I left my house unlocked and a note for the cleaners, as well as my own products for them to use (the company told me they used Mr. Clean and of course I prefer eco-friendly products). I also left my Dyson out for them to use and some Purdy's chocolates to thank them. I also specified that I wanted my living room, kitchen, bathroom and hallways done.

Now, of course my house is quite clean to begin with, but I purposely stopped myself from cleaning too well yesterday. I am a normal person with dust and crumbs under my couches/ottoman, and along the edges of the kitchen and of course under the fridge.

I left for an hour, came home and they had been and left. They did not leave me a note or a checklist, and I was very disappointed that my floors hadn't been vacuumed or washed. I then noticed that my living room hadn't been dusted, my kitchen sink hadn't been cleaned, and my bathtub still had that pink stuff around the grout (gross I know but again, I left it there because I was paying for people to clean it for me!)

I emailed the company to let them know my floors hadn't been cleaned. The response was, "Anything that is important for you to have cleaned very well will take more time to do and should have been noted beforehand to accommodate the schedule." I responded that I assumed that the floors would be vacuumed and washed as that is what I was told the service provided (seems obvious that a customer would expect a maid service to wash their floors... or is it just me?)

I am so disappointed in both the service and the response from the company. Being on the "other side" of service delivery reminds me why we started the Green Clean Squad: we knew other Edmonton maid services were lacking in both cleaning performance and customer service. It was a good reminder that I, as the co-owner of the Green Clean Squad, personally promise to all our clients both past, present and future that we will ALWAYS do everything in our power to ensure you are satisfied with our services. I don't ever want a customer of ours to ever feel as frustrated and powerless as I did today.

I also didn't realize how important a satisfaction guarantee is, and am very proud that the Green Clean Squad's core mission is to ensure we meet or exceed the expectations of each and every client.

Katie Pearse, Co-Owner, Green Clean Squad Inc.

Because our personal experiences with Edmonton cleaning companies have consistently been poor, we started the Green Clean Squad in 2008 to fill the city's need for professional, exceptional cleaning services.

As the co-owner of the Green Clean Squad, I personally promise all our clients that we will do everything in our power to ensure you are satisfied with our services. I don't ever want a customer of ours to ever feel as frustrated and powerless as I have felt when dealing with service providers.

We will provide our customers with punctual, efficient cleaning services that exceed your expectations at a competitive price.
